It's been another busy week, but we've gotten a lot done. Before I go into the details of the week, I'd like to give everyone a heads up that it looks like I will be out of school next Tuesday (2/17) as I've been summoned for jury duty.  While it is always possible I will bet told I do not have to report for duty, I've prepared to be out, telling the kids what to plan for on Tuesday and that morning help/tutoring will obviously have to be cancelled for that morning.  Hopefully, I'll only be out for one day and back the next, but I'll keep everyone posted if things change.  There's always a chance I'll be called back again between now and mid-April; again I'll keep everyone as updated on what to expect.

Now back to our regularly scheduled program.  Since it's getting a bit late now (at least for a teacher who hasn't had any caffeine for a few hours), so this likely won't be too much longer.  The MSM2 students continued working on the properties of quadrilaterals, wrapping it up with a test (mentioned in last week's summary) today that included a little bit on the Pythagorean theorem and angle relationships.  The 7H students continued and wrapped up their work on angle relationships as well.  Both classes had KhanAcademy (which should now be working completely for students on their Chromebooks, videos and all, after a few new updates from the county) assignments earlier in the week.  They were also all given a Google Doc assignment on the open responses and writing prompts for their respective topics; I walked through how to properly go about completing these assignments since this is the first time we've completed an assignment this way, specifically because of the picture portions that were required (inserting screenshots and creating digital drawings).

Well, I think it's about time for me to wrap things up for the week.  If I am indeed out of school on Tuesday, we'll hopefully be able to go back to normal the next day.  I hope everyone enjoys the long weekend.
