Notes on Multiplying & Dividing Fractions

To multiply fractions:

1. Turn all mixed and/or whole numbers into improper fractions.
2. Multiply tops.
3. Multiply bottoms.
4. Reduce to simplest form.

To divide fractions:

1. Turn all mixed and/or whole numbers into improper fractions.
2. Keep-Change-Flip
   Keep the first fraction--Change ÷ to x--Flip the second fraction.
3. Multiply
   Follow all steps for multiplying.
