New Math Dictionary Sections: (3) Exponents & (4) Order of Operations
Upcoming Assessments: Exponents Quiz & Order of Operations (Date TBA)
We started the week by finishing Intergers, which was assessed on Tuesday with a quiz on both Estimation and Integers. During advisory, students presented their Integer Life Line Projects. Some students still have not turned in their projects and can still do so by Monday without penalty. We began work on Powers and Exponents, including work on square roots. This merged with the next section on Order of Operations (aka PEMDAS). We took our first spiral review quiz on Friday, which allows students to practice taking assessments in the SOL format and prepares them for the differences in the Math 5 test and the Math 6 test.
